Review: A Masked man attacks the Indian Army and steals a package which has future of India and also warns more destruction.Colonel Adil Shekar Azad realizes this enemy is a psycho and to stop him he should call his psycho officers Firoz (Freddy) Bade Miyan and Rakesh (Rocky) Chote Miyan.Azad briefs his officer Captain Meesha to trace both the officers who were court martial few years back,Rocky shows his willingness to join the mission but Freddy rejects due to past humiliation.
As the package has been traced to United Kingdom Meesha,Rocky and Azad travel to the country aided by UK based Dr Pam and find that the package is hidden under Waterloo station in a vault .Azad gets captured by masked men but Rocky,Meesha and Pam are closed to the vault until they get trapped by the gang of masked men.
Freddy arrives to rescue them where Rocky realizes that over the years he was working as an undercover officer for Azad they all are surprised to see what they find in package.Where in Freddy briefs them package was just a reason but it was a whole trap laid by Masked men to get Freddy and Rocky to UK for a motive.
Review: A good supernatural thriller typically relies on elements of horror and suspense to keep the viewer hooked. Even if it skimps on jump scares but provides an unsettling experience, it’s a job well done. In that sense, director Vikas Bahl has got it right with Shaitaan.
The movie introduces one to Kabir’s (Ajay Devgn) happy family, which includes his wife Jyoti (Jyotika), teenage daughter Jahnavi (Janki Bodiwala), and nerdy son Dhruv (Anngad Raaj). The film quickly builds a sense of unease, as a stranger, Vanraj Kashyap (R Madhavan), enters their lives. He mysteriously gains complete control of Jahnavi, so much so that she obeys every command he gives. Unease soon turns to dread as Vanraj’s orders become increasingly awful and dangerous to Jahnavi herself and her family members. The rest of the story unravels the mystery behind what makes Vanraj powerful, his motive, and if the family will escape his torment.
Shaitaan’s appeal lies in the atmosphere it creates, especially without the use of CGI. It mostly hinges on the antagonist’s sinister intentions and games, which leave you with an unsettling feeling. Written by Aamir Keeyan Khan and Krishnadev Yagnik, the film sidesteps usual horror tropes. But it does touch upon the ageold supernatural versus science debate and human crudity that makes the species as basic as malevolent forces.
The narrative maintains a good pace and the treatment makes the movie gripping for the most part, although things gets a tad monotonous in the second half. Albeit not too suspenseful, the buildup is unnerving. The story has some unconvincing elements, and one scene gives away a pivotal plot point, which makes the climax predictable. Cinematographer Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti excels in creating an atmosphere of dread and darkness, further enhanced by Amit Trivedi’s music.
Madhavan is outstanding as the malevolent figure and pulls off every sinister deed perfectly. Ajay Devgn delivers a powerful performance as a helpless but determined father. Jyotika stands her might, too. Janki Bodiwala deserves to be lauded for her pitch-perfect performance as the young girl under a devious spell. She laughs, cries, dances, and attacks on cue in immediate succession perfectly. Anngad Raaj as the son performs well, too.

Damsel Movie Review:It’s been a long time since I did a movie review, due to how busy I have been. Most times I start seeing a movie then I do not complete it and then when next I am about to see a movie, I try seeing another movie and still don’t complete it. So yesterday since the weekend was almost over, I decided to see a movie, and this time I promised myself I would finish it. I had no movie in mind so when I switched to my Netflix I just decided to see the Movie at the Top and that’sDamsel
Damsel, this movie belongs to the Fantasy/Adventure genre. At first, I had to see the trailer and honestly, it was superb to me. No spoiler intended, I know for sure that every character in this movie played their roles very well including the Dragon. It gives a Damsel in distress kind of setting and honestly, the storyline wasn’t new but then it was worth seeing.
The movie Damsel is more of a Damsel who was handed off as a bride to a kingdom in need of a bride. The main reason she was given off is because her town needed money. More of an exchange. A bride for money. There is more to this Kingdom in need of a bride as there is an ancestral tradition which has been going on. The movie is about Millie Bobby Brown who played the role of Elodie and her connection with the Dragon which she was used as a sacrifice. Shockingly, the Dragon has a tragic past as well. Yes, the plot is very predictable but then towards the end it takes a twist.
The cast of Elodie was very delightful to see. I have always been a fan of Millie Bobby Brown right from when she played Eleven in stranger things She is always in character and I love how she played the role of Elodie. A dutiful damsel who just obeyed her father and got married with zero idea about the royal ancestral tradition. The determination she had and how she was willing to create a relationship with the Dragon at the end. At one point, I was a bit confused if she could see the past or maybe it was the cave’s effect. Either way, she did well. I love the relationship she has with her stepmother as well. It takes the light off Fantasy evil stepmothers
I would have loved to say Elodie was my favorite character but then Queen Isabelle played by Robin Wright. She has acted in so many movies and even if she played the part of the villain, I find how she was able to carry herself all through the movie till the very end.
Elodie’s Father, Lord Bayford, is another exquisite character. The fact he found out what his daughter was going to be used for and didn’t have a choice at first, made me dislike him but then going into the cave of the dragon to save his daughter that was a brave thing to do.
Yodha Movie Review: Debutant directors Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha's film offers an adrenaline-fueled ride through the skies. The setup is slow and bumpy, but once the plane is hijacked, the tension mounts quickly. Despite a predictable storyline, the movie has a fair amount of exciting moments and twists and turns to keep you engaged. And Sidharth Malhotra expertly navigates the highs and lows of a determined soldier caught in the crossfires of duty and suspicion.
The story unfolds with Arun Katyal, a proud son determined to carry on the legacy of his father's (Ronit Roy) special task force, Yodha. However, after failing at a critical mission, he is on board a hijacked flight under mysterious circumstances. All evidence points to him being on a revenge mission against the system that has taken everything from him. Is Arun a ‘desh ka dushman,’ or the patriot like his father was? It all unravels in an action-packed thriller at 15,000 feet above the ground.
Sagar Ambre's screenplay keeps viewers engrossed, drawing them into the tense atmosphere of the aircraft, where the majority of the action unfolds. While the mid-air stunts are thrilling, the film suffers from predictability and clichéd plot twists, lacking depth in exploring themes of courage and patriotism. However, the film is well-edited, so it stays the course and never feels stretched. There is also subtle humour peppered through the narrative. There are some heavy-duty dialogues like “Main rahu na rahu, desh rahega," but the lighter moments in the screenplay balance that out.
The music is average, barring Ammy Virk and B Praak's reprised version ‘Qismat Badal Di.’ The background score blends well with the genre. After the reel-life portrayal of the war hero Vikram Batra in Shershaah, Sidharth returns as commando Arun Katyal in Yodha, showcasing his competence as an action hero. The movie majorly rests on his shoulders. Raashii Khanna pulls off the part of playing Arun's love interest with ease. Disha Patani plays a pivotal role as an air hostess caught amid the hostage drama. Tanuj Virwani, another commando of the special task force, makes his presence felt in his limited role. Sunny Hinduja pulls off his role with confidence.
Jailer Movie Review:Tiger Muthuvel Pandiyan (Rajinikanth), a retired jailer, is a family man now. He spends his days making YouTube videos with his grandson, shopping for vegetables at the local market, and taking part in routine household chores. Muthuvel’s son (Vasanth Ravi), a police officer, goes missing while on a mission to nab a gang of idol thieves. When the news of his death is delivered, Muthuvel’s wife (Ramya Krishnan) pins the blame on his honest upbringing for this mess. Heartbroken, Muthuvel, ventures out to avenge his son’s deat
The 2-hour-40-minute-long film takes time to establish itself. It takes over 40 minutes to pick up pace. Unlike every Rajnikanth movie, which thrives on a mass introduction scene, this one doesn’t give that cathartic experience. This is where it becomes a Nelson movie. But, the interval block and the mass scenes in the second half make up for it. Director Nelson, whose last big screen outing was Beast, is back with his signature style of filmmaking - packed with subtle, dark comedy in the first half. In fact, it is Yogi Babu and Rajinikanth’s fun banter that saves the first half. Second half takes off well with several mass scenes, especially when the story goes back in time to show a glimpse of Muthuvel’s past, but quickly loses steam and ends up leading towards a dragged, albeit a bit boring and a disappointing climax.
The film, like several Rajinikanth movies in the past, lacks logic. The dark comedy works well in the original language (Tamil) and for those who are familiar with Nelson's previous films. But since it is not everyone’s cup of tea, the jokes may get lost in translation in other languages (the film has been released in 5 languages).
Cameos by stars like Shivarajkumar, Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sunil and Kishore add to the star value. Watch out for the climax that features Shivarajkumar and Mohanlal for the much required drama and energy.
Rajnikanth is not a hero anymore; he is a superstar and this film shows him exactly as that. Fans get to see plenty of whistle-worthy Rajini-ism and nothing more. The father-son bond, which is essentially the heart of the story, is merely touched upon and leaves it to the audience to assume that the father and son are very close. There isn’t a single emotional moment between the two. It is disappointing to see a talent like Ramya Krishnan with nothing much to say or emote in the film. Vasanth Ravi has one single expression throughout the film. Vinayakan puts up an impressive show with his bloodshot eyes. Composer Anirudh Ravichander’s background music elevates the film; the songs however, border on average.
Sijjin Full Fovies Review English: lacked the thrills and scares that I anticipated. One of the few positive aspects of the movie was the inclusion of a couple of memorable scenes. Firstly, there was a scene involving a realistic portrayal of black magic, which was executed effectively. Additionally, there was a basement scene featuring a group of white ladies wearing telekom outfits, a unique and previously unseen concept. These scenes were commendable and managed to stand out amidst the overall disappointment of the film. However, the weak and predictable storyline was a major drawback. The lack of originality and depth in the plot made it easy to foresee what would unfold next, resulting in diminished suspense and excitement.
Furthermore, the performances by some of the actors fell short, failing to elevate the movie to a higher level. All in all, "Sijjin" failed to deliver on its promise of being a truly scary experience. The movie lacked a compelling story, had predictable twists, and featured mediocre acting. If you are looking for a genuinely terrifying horror film, this one is unlikely to meet your expectations. I challenge any director who can come out the really scary movie with originally based on true story or with strong powerful script and the best with unknown actor and actress that can revealed about the alarm ghaib, black magic and paranormal activity.
